NW Friends Inclusion DSP Job Description

  • As a part-time DSP at NWFI, your role will include:

    • Providing meaningful companionship and personalized care to clients.

    • Assisting with community inclusion by participating in engaging activities and providing safe transportation.

    • Supporting independence by encouraging self-care and personal growth.

    • May include: Helping with daily living activities such as light household tasks like meal preparation, grocery shopping, errands.

    • Promoting life skills, such as tipping etiquette, socializing with peers, and making healthy food choices.

    • Ensuring safety and responding to emergencies when necessary.

    • Documenting progress and observations about your clients.

    • Pay: $23/hour, plus $0.65 per mile reimbursement for travel with clients. Additional $2/hour for covering shifts when coworkers are out.

    • Flexible Hours: Work as little as 12 hours/week or up to 20 hours/week, with schedules tailored to your availability (most common shifts are 10 AM–2 PM).

  • Reimbursements (monthly, amounts depend on hours worked):
